A Brief Summary About our Life and Travels so Far…

We have been together since 2008, when we were introduced by mutual friends. With our love for travel and spontaneous way of life, it didn’t take us long before we were ready to leave Adelaide and travel around.

In 2010 we closed up Tim’s business, bought a 4WD Toyota Troop Carrier, which we named Troopy and drove 50,000km around Australia.

This trip was definitely a massive highlight of ours – we made a list of goals and were happy that we managed to achieve them all. We made it to every state and territory on mainland Australia, travelled to the 4 most furthest points on the mainland and became qualified scuba divers.

In 2011 Tim organised a surprise trip to Cairns. I had no idea where we were going, Tim even packed my suitcase to keep the suspense going! He made us sit at the wrong gate at the airport so I still couldn’t work it out and it wasn’t until we were on the plane and the air hostess announced we heading to Cairns, that I knew. What a lovely surprise!! 🙂 Once we arrived in Cairns Tim had organised a beautiful hotel and for a 3 day live-aboard on the ProDive boat we used last year so that we could become Advanced scuba divers. The week was full of surprises and on our anniversary, which happened to be our navigation dive, Tim proposed to me 16m underwater on the Great Barrier Reef 🙂

It was so special

We married the following year on the 10th November 2012 at the beautiful K1 Winery. The day was perfect, everything went smoothly, the weather was sunny and everyone seemed to be having a great time. It was definitely the happiest day of our lives so far.

2 days later we left for the adventure of a lifetime around the world.
